Blades of Daring is currently set up with our own Ventrilo channel. The set-up and installation is quick and painless. Simply follow the instructions below and you'll be up and running in no time. We invite all players on the Burning Sea who are interested in joining our Society to jump on and get to know us a bit if they like, before joining rank with us.
Vent is a great resource for our Society - it's a blast to talk on, it's very helpful when running missions or fleeting together, it saves you time while grinining out a level and going through missions not to have to stop and type a response out.
Although, fair warning with Vent - this chat is completely uncensored. So, if you would rather skip hearing things that might offend your delicate little ears, then by all means, you can skip this. Participation is not mandatory for being in the Blades but it's simply fun and helpful. Some members don't even chat, they just listen and respond by typing. This is fine too if you don't have a mic or if you're shy. But try it out for a bit, you might just find yourself doing a midnight run to the local Walmart (or 3) trying to get a headset to jump in on the chaos that is Blades of Daring appearing live on Vent Hope to hear you all soon.
Note: For all Vista users - In order to get Vent to run correctly while you are in game, you must launch the program as an administrator, otherwise your hot key will not work when you have the game maximized. You will be able to hear, but not talk. So make sure to run the program as Admin.

Since we've upgraded from TeamSpeak to Vent (thank you Hector) it's been a smooth transition. The sound quality on Vent is amazing and the problems are very few and far in between. The only issue that we seem to be running into is volume problems, which there is a simple fix for. Once running the program, if you realize that you need to adjust the volume on some people, simply right click on their name and a ndrop down menu will come up. Click on Miscellaneous and then Special Effects and add Volume. From there you can make the person either louder or quieter, depending on what you need.
