Britain was at one time a nation worthy of a captain's devotion. A powerful nation only further strengthened by the strong fleet which defended her shores and struck out to broaden them into enemy territory. However, most of the captains presently fighting for that cause can no longer remember precisely when that golden age was.

Blades of Daring was at one time a society based on the belief of defending Britain to the death, if needed, tirelessly devoting ourselves to the cause. However, optimism soon turned to cynicism. An eager, ready-to-fight attitude which was crushed and defeated by the cancer that is the British nation itself. At one time, Britain was a nation worth fighting for, but that time has long since passed. The society as a whole was dubbed 'Rogue Captains' by the nation simply because we did not blindly go along with the rules set forth by other captains who thought to dictate the way the seas were sailed. Unfortunately, the Blades were simply too outspoken and free-thinking for our own good in Britain. Pity.

However, there was another nation who prized their captains for quick and progressive thinking, for a maverick attitude towards jumping into any and every possibly fight with pistols loaded and cutlasses ready to draw blood.

Driven from the shores of England, these 'Rogue Captains' returned to their seafaring roots and once again unanimously elected to sail beneath the Black Flag. A group of legitimate Privateers and Freetraders sailing under the King's protection no more. Instead, we once again became a ruthless bunch of cutthroat pirates firmly invested in the most piratey of pirate ideals - plundering, pillaging, wenching, drinking, and being a huge thorn in the arse of Great Britain herself - in no particular order.

Blades of Daring welcomes all fellow traitors to their one-time nations. All fellow Rogue Captains who were thought to be a detriment to their nation simply because they did not follow along with a preconceived set of rules. Pirates don't manage very well with these "rules" types. We welcome all pirates who wish to sail under their own command where and how they please. However, it does take a certain sort of captain to become a Blade.

We are a rowdy bunch of ill-mannered, foul-speaking, belching, rum swilling, harassing, insulting, crude pirates. And we are not for the faint of heart. It takes a captain of a strong mettle to sail the seas with us. If you wish to join ranks with the Blades, bring with you a strong constitution, a wicked sense of humor, and rum for everyone and we'll get along just fine.
